A big hit at our most recent choir party was a dip brought by one of the sopranos. It turned out to be buffalo chicken dip and it seems that the standard recipe is at allrecipes! Here is how I made it tonight to general approval. This will take less than an hour and will serve 10 people.
13 oz. can of chicken, drained
3 oz. Frank’s Red Hot sauce
8 oz. package of cream cheese, cut into pieces
½ cup ranch dressing
¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
In a large saucepan put the chicken and Red Hot sauce. Cook over medium heat for about 3 minutes, breaking up the chicken. Add the cream cheese and ranch dressing. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring to evenly blend the ingredients. Remove from the heat and stir in half of the cheese. Put the mixture into a small crockpot and top it with the rest of the cheese. Heat for about 30 minutes until bubbly. Serve with celery sticks, tortilla chips, Fritos, etc.
