Brandy Milk Punch

I made the Commander’s Palace brandy milk punch recipe in honor of Mardi Gras based on a recipe in allrecipes.com.  This milk punch is like a lighter and eggless version of eggnog and is very tasty.  Making it in advance and letting the flavors meld together makes it even better.  Apparently at Commander’s Palace these make and serve it like a martini.  I served it on the rocks, which worked well and keeps it nicely cold.

Amounts below are for 1 serving

2 oz. brandy (I used E&J XO)

1 oz. simple syrup (equal volumes of water and sugar brought to a boil to dissolve the sugar and then cooled)

½ tsp. vanilla extract

1-1/2 oz. whole milk

Freshly grated nutmeg

Mix the ingredients together and serve with ice.

  1. Wow, I’ve never tried making Brandy Milk Punch before, but it sounds perfect for cozy evenings!

😊 I remember once trying a similar drink at a holiday gathering, and it was
surprisingly smooth and comforting. Do you think there are
any variations that add a little twist to the traditional recipe?
