We had half of a Tres Leches Cake base in the freezer and I had a brainstorm about soaking the cake in Egg Nog instead of with the usual three milks which gives the cake its name. I put the cake on a sheet of aluminum foil inside a baking pan, and folded up the foil to form a little pan around the cake. I then poked holes all over the cake, and poured about a half cup of the egg nog over the cake. I covered the cake and chilled it in the refrigerator. To serve, I cut pieces of the cake put them in shallow bowls and spooned some more egg nog on top of the cake. It was very good.
